About

Hi, I'm Khoa — a remote System Developer with 7 years building and shipping production web applications end-to-end. My core stack is PHP/Laravel, with hands-on experience across Python, Golang, Node.js, and Vue.js depending on the project.

I design, operate, and monitor the AWS infrastructure behind these applications — EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, ECS/ECR, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, SQS/SNS, and CloudFormation, wired together with Jenkins and Bitbucket Pipelines for CI/CD. Beyond keeping systems healthy day-to-day, I regularly dig into service configuration and architecture to find ways to cut cloud spend without sacrificing performance.

A good part of my day-to-day is also performance tuning at the codebase level — from Eloquent/SQL query tuning to Redis caching — plus code review, where I try to catch security and performance issues early and help the team level up along the way.

This blog is where I write about web development, cloud architecture, and the occasional deep dive into whatever I'm currently curious about.

I'm also embracing the current wave of AI-assisted development — not by handing over the wheel, but by applying a structured, controlled workflow: clear requirements, deliberate review, and verification at every step, using AI as a force multiplier rather than a black box.
